Despite the precision, it represents a playful new interpretation of what time actually means. The brilliantly polished case surface shines in the sunlight like a metal diamond.
The "120°" dial divides the hour into three sections. Thus, it marks the time span of 20 minutes and not the quarter of an hour, which is always felt to have flown by too quickly anyway. At the same time, it represents the three daily stages: morning, afternoon, and night.

Our high-contrast watches play with archetypes and thus shed new light on the well-known.
The case picks up on classic watch shapes, but creates an independent character through faceting and clear edges. The shape is cut from a block, curves are reduced to a minimum, the watches appear almost brutal at first glance. The design nevertheless feels pleasantly familiar thanks to the play with known basic types.
The bracelet comes with quick-release spring bars and has a single-sided latch stitching on the crown side typical for Belchengruppe.
We use calibers from Sellita in our watches. Like our watchmaker, Sellita is based in La Chaux-de-Fonds and is one of the largest and best-known manufacturers of Swiss movements.
An automatic calibre SW290-1 in the Premium (Top) version ticks in the 1247 120°. The date ring is exclusively printed with the Belchen Grotesk font, the Belchengruppe's house font. With 31 jewels, Incabloc shock protections and a frequency of 28'800 A/H (4 Hz), it has a power reserve of at least 38 hours with an average rate deviation of ±4 seconds per day.
And if something does need repairing: the spare parts are freely available, any watchmaker can order them and bring your favourite time piece back in working order.
Bauhaus design, Ulm School or minimalism - the design of Belchengruppe goes far beyond that. We interpret archetypal design elements in a humorous and subtle way - this is how we create the design of a new generation. And for this we have received awardsfrom international design juries.
